The Ugly's Rescued Doxoodles

They're
Simply The Best

The Ugly
1986 - 13 Nov 2004

Doxoodles are part Dachshund and Poodle. They're very unique dogs with personality plus. If you have a Doxoodle and would like to let people know how great they are, please send photos with a link back to your site. We want to get the word out just how great these beautiful little dogs are.

These pages weren't put on here to encourage anyone to breed for these dogs, just the opposite there are enough of them in shelters already. I would rather encourage you to check out Pet Finders to find one. I had one for 18 years and they make great pets but should never bred for intentionally, accidentally or be used for breeding themselves.

I put these pages up before the "Designer Dogs" became so popular. I really can't see why anyone would pay the prices for those dogs when they're nothing but very cute mutts. Most of the puppies are very cute but when they get older and end up looking nothing like they did as a puppy or either of the parents, they end up in shelters and if not adopted euthanized.

Please don't encourage anyone, or the PUPPY MILLS and BACKYARD BREEDERS to breed these dogs by buying from them or a PET SHOP when you can adopt one at a fraction of the cost and save a life.

Guess you can tell these pages are dedicated to the Beautiful Doxoodle,

Hope Daisy Dog

Like Ugly, Hope Daisy Dog is also a Doxoodle. She lives with her Mom and Dad in California and is a very lucky little girl. She was lucky enough to have survived being run over by a car and then lucky to have been rescued by her Mom, Sharon while she was recovering from her injuries.

You can visit Hope Daisy Dog's Web Page where you can see her before and after rescue pictures and read her story.

Woops

Here's another one!!!!

Cosmo

While looking at the rescue web sites for the links to Ugly's Rescue Page, I found Cosmo. I couldn't believe it!! I thought I was seeing things, he looks just like my Ugly at that age and I contacted them about adopting him. I live in Texas and the rescue was in Florida.
Then I asked myself if I really wanted another dog that looked like my Ugly but wasn't. After considerable thought I decided I did want him as he needed a loving home and I felt that I could give him that and not expect him to act as Ugly but as Cosmo.
I contacted them again, but his foster Mom, Tina Clark, had adopted him...lol
Once you get one of these little guys you just can't give them up and I wish them many happy years together.
If he's anything like my Ugly was, he'll make her life much more interesting...lol
Ugly understood every word you said, but she did have very selective hearing...lol

Here's what Cosmo's Mom had to say about him:
Cosmo came to us because another adoptive family said" he was mean and attacked their 21 year old daughter". They also said he got into the trash all the time and was just a pain.
We have had Cosmo in our home since Valentines weekend and he is a real jewel. He has never ever done any of the things that the former people said about him. We were a bit nervous at first because we have four girls here but he walked in the door and acted like he had always been here. Cosmo is the "son" my husband never had....ha ha.
