It all started 4 years ago, when I bought my husband, Chip a Black & Tan Coonhound puppy for his birthday. You wonder, (maybe) how did she come up with that breed? Well, he had always talked about owning a bloodhound one day and when I decided to get a puppy, I had a hard time finding bloodhounds and they were a little more expensive than I could afford. A good friend of mine from work who is an avid coonhunter had explained how similar these two breeds were, hence, with a lot of his help, we found "BOCEPHUS" (BO) , in Georgia. Well that's probably more than you wanted to know but I love telling the story anyway!! Which brings me to our first pictures, Bo, of course! First, at about 10 weeks then, about 1 yr. old, and today at 4 yrs. There are a lot of pictures to load, please be patient.
This is a picture of Annie, who I found about 9 months after we got Bo. Because you see the story goes--once we had Bo for awhile then I proceeded to totally fall in love with the breed and wanted another one for breeding purposes! So along came Annie and many puppies, thereafter!! She was 3 years old when I got her.
Here is a picture of the last litter Annie had, aren't they sweet? I think that puppy must be thinking--"Am I ever going to get a turn??"
Here is Annie a day after she had her last 10 puppies, back in April of "98". Taking a well deserved rest!!
Nestled among those 10 black beauties is a little cutie we kept called, Jewel and between the three of them there is never a dull moment around here!! It's a chorus of howling that you wouldn't believe! So much for a QUIET empty nest!
