This is my Crafting Corner!

When I have the time, I love to do all kinds of crafts. I like quilting, dried flower wreaths, doll-making and some embroidery, also. I have to say since I got into the computer field, I don't have much time for my hobbies! Web pages have taken center stage since it's such a challenge. I have some pictures of some things I have made---

I learned how to make this in a quilting class! I have not yet attempted to try this one again yet!

This is a doll I made for my daughter, Rachel. I have made more dolls but they make good gifts so I haven't made one yet that I didn't give away!

Here are some dried flower projects I have done.

I thought I would share with you how I make a eucalyptus wreath.
Here is a picture of some of the items you will need.

  • First cut pieces of eucalyptus to 4 or 5 inches long.

  • Bunch together about 5 or 6 stems firmly using floral tape.

  • Place bunches together on wreath form at least 2 bunches wide, or more depending on how wide and full you would like your wreath.

  • Using floral wire, wrap bunches firmly on base.

  • When finished wrapping eucalyptus to base, fill in any empty spots with single pieces of the eucalyptus, using hot glue gun. (Be very careful when using glue gun!)

  • When finished add dried flowers of your choice around the wreath. Usually odd-numbered bunches of flowers works best.

Below is a eucalyptus wreath I made. The fragrance from one is very soothing!
GOOD LUCK AND HAVE FUN!
