Boone Companions

We are a goat club located in Central Missouri

What we are:

We promote the general acceptance of goats through one goat show and  a goat seminar annually . We also encourage participation of youth in the goat industry through 4-H and FFA.  We try to develop the knowledge base of the general public regarding goats by participating in community events where goats can be present and/or pamphlets or mini-lectures can be distributed or presented.

Next meeting will be November 20, 1999 1:30 At Bobbers Truck Stop located at I-70 and B Hiway exit, west of Columbia at Booneville MO. Elections will be held at that time. Membership dues are now due. They are $10 individual or $15 family. Mail to Joan Wilcox.

National Small Farm Today Show and Trade Conference will be held November 5th & 6th at Boone County Fairgrounds , Columbia MO. If you can help with Thursday set-up contact Paige Garrett. A raffle was discussed and may be held at the show. United Missouri Goat Producers has a meeting on November 6th at 10:00 am.

The 1999 Christmas party will be at Mindy Case's house. It will be at 1:30 bring a pot-luck dish and a small gift. Directions will be posted at a later date.
