Searching for
"Higher Ground"
A Tribute to John Denver

Join with Me in a Loving Look at John's Life,

his Music, and his Concern for the Environment
and All of Mankind

This beautiful shot of John on the deck in front of his Aspen home shows a view of the"Rocky Mountain High"  he loved so much.

He was "reborn here in the autumn of his Fifty-
third year....Coming home to Colorado,"
where
he now lives with his Beloved Mountains and Eagles and Horses for all Eternity

This web tribute to John Denver was started by Dave Snouffer on February 20, 1999.

I'm 60 years old and am from Toledo, Ohio, USA.

As you can see, there's not much here yet.  But I promise some really great additions in the near future.....as soon as I find the time  (there's more happening Saturday Night in Toledo, OH  than most people realize.....Really!)  and learn a little.....well, maybe a lot.....more about HTML.   :-)

"Searching for Higher Ground"  will include:

     1.   All midis that are available or can be located on the Net, accompanied by appropriate graphics and lyric scroll boxes so you can interact  and sing along karaoke style.  Donald C. Kreifels (aka Michael Parker) is graciously sequencing "Higher Ground"  so that we can all share in a new JD midi presentation here!

     2.  An  extensive photo collection, shown in an album format......see the sample below.

     3.  What I hope to be the most complete and ex-
haustive list of Links to information of John's life, his music and his commitment to the environment and  to all of mankind......all in a useable, topical format.

Please Bookmark My Site!   There's a lot  more to come!!!  I Promise!!!  (Where's Rory Young's cherry limeade when you really need it?  I'm tired already.)  LOL

"Keep me through the night
 Lead me to the light
Teach me the the magic of wonder
Give me the spirit to fly"

Love and Peace to you all!

Dave

"Thus We are Here and So Soon We are Gone"

But the Picture Albums of Our Minds Live on...
For as long as We Remember

Even though John was taken from us....... while flying with the Eagles.......on October 12, 1997, he continues to soar in our memories and in our minds and in our hearts.

The miracle of photography allows us to share the reflections of his life, his family, his career, and his commitment to making this world a better place in which to live.......for all of human kind.

This portion of "Searching for Higher Ground" is dedicated to the photographic memory of John Denver.
