Here is a little history of these people. At the time of W. John Carrier's death, Susanna was bound out to Henry Huddell in 1773, Solomon and Jemima were bound out to John North and Martha was bound out to Jonathan Pugh in 1773. (This information was given to me by a newly found cousin, Virginia Skander...Thanks Ginny!) I have gotten many responses about the date not matching in the above generation, I only added these as I was told about the, if you know of any difference and can prove it, please let me know, thanks.

He sold in 1774 land he had inherited from his father, after which - but before ca. 1777, he moved his family to that part of NC which became TN in 1796. He served in the Revolutionary War in both the 1st and 9th NC Regiments of the Continental Line.

Marriage Notes

No one knew that Mary Jane Folk was ever connected to Joseph as she died at an early age and apparently no one ever said. Rob, my husband, and a friend were out one day with our boys, investigating old Indian Grounds in the area, but why they ended up at Myers Cemetery in Pike Township, Clark County, Ohio is beyond me, but they stumbled across a marker that read as follows
