I am signing your guestbook because I have a love of NASCAR autographs. Would you or your husband like to share information about autographs sessions. I came across your site by searching for Anderson, SC. My husband's parents live there, and we hope to move to the area some day as we really like the area. We presently live in Winter Haven, Florida (near Cypress Gardens) I have one daughter, Carolyn, who just graduated from high school and my husband has one son, Robert, who also just graduated from high school. Though I am past the breastfeeding stage now, I did breastfeed Carolyn. Your site is very refreshing !

I agree with you that breastfeeding must be the mother's decision, not done because of pressure. I love it and worked hard at breastfeeding with my first child. My second was not necessarily easier, because different problems arose, but mentally I knew I could do it. Thanks for offering the supprt you do. It is a great service for all moms.

Hello. The first thing I want to say is you have a wonderful page. I enjoyed reading a few of the pages. I have a two year old son whom I breastfed til about 15 months. I know some people continue after that age... but it seemed "right" for us at that time. I read you page about working and pumping, and although I breastfed... I rarely pumped. I also rarely had a problem with let down when i wasn't breastfeeding my son. At the age of 3 months my pediatrician told me that I would have to give my son vitamin D supplement or 2 bottles of formula a day. Since I had limited insurance... I decided that the formula would be the way to go. So, when I was at work, whoever watched my son whould give him formula, and I was at work. I worked the night shift .. from about 4 to 11, and my days off, I fed him formula between 4 and 11. My body adjusted... and I did not produce milk while I was at work. It was a great solution to my problem... since I am a waitress, and would not have 20 minutes to pump... nor the facility to do so. My last comment was that you stated on your "going back to work" page the shelf life of breastmilk. It would be very informative to include the time limit on refridgerated and frozen breastmilk. (Frozen is 6 months I believe) And the few times I did pump... I put the milk right in the plastic bottle, and in the freezer. And i used masking tape for the date. Drop by my page when you have time... although I have just written another whole page here. LOL:) Your page is very wo derful and full of great info. Thank you!!!!

my baby pepper doesn't much care for breastfeeding. i've tried a million times but he just won't take the nipple. i've rubbed milk on it but he still doesn't seem to comprehend what's going on --. i found that it works better if i just feed him "iams - la b and rice" - it makes his breath really stink but it saves me teeth marks and all the other little ones in the neighborhood from following me around. he's doing well without breastfeeding and i really don't feel guilty. i'm proud of my little man, as i l ke to call him. sometimes you don't need breastfeeding just a little lamb and rice
