For the day, plays gained $67 based on some solid underdog hits that included Cincinnati +135, Oakland +135, and Tampa on the runline at +120. Other winning selection for Monday was solid call on Pittsburgh -132 in their 7-0 win over Houston. Other Monday losses were on Washington +110, and Texas -123. Tiger Woods will start the weekend a full shots behind the co-leaders in Augusta, as Chad Campbell and Kenny Perry share the 2nd round lead at 9 under par. Woods struggled to find his stride on Friday as he finished the day shooting an even par 72. KTS has made its MLB plays for Saturday, and the card is ready for delivery. April 6th, 2009 Addendum.....4:00 EDT 2009 NCAA Basketball Tournament *Championship Game* Michigan State (31-6) North Carolina (33-4) Current Line: North Carolina -7.5 Mich State pulled of the upset of UConn by getting some shots to fall in the 2nd half, and UNC simply worked over another opponent for a rather easy win against Nova. UNC continues to win comfortably, covering all 5 tournament games, without playing a "great" game. Heels hold Nova at arm's length despite shooting 30% in the 2nd half and missing more than a dozen FT's. 3-point shooting got the Heels out quickly and once again they were never headed past the opening minutes. Heels won on this same court against this same team, minus an injured player or two, by a 98-63 count back in December. UNC will find they have some distinct advantages in this game, particularly with guard play, and that should allow them to work their prolific transition game without much opposition from the Spartans. While Michigan State will make much better showing than in earlier beatdown, it's hard for one to conceive that they have improved enough to win this game. Man for man going through the rosters it seems to me that the Heels have the edge straight down the line. Lucas is nice, but Lawson is better. Suton is a servicable big man, but Hansbrough is a consensus All-American. Morgan has been improving, but you can pick either Ellington or Green to fill his spot. In fact, you would have trouble convincing me that any of the Spartan starting five would start for Roy Williams this season. Spartans go deep into their bench, but the Heels also use a menagerie of substitutes that give ample rest to the thoroughbreds. Only real advantage for Michigan State in this tilt is the fact that about 90+% of the fans will be cheering for the Spartans, but unless "Magic" is going to suit up and take the floor, I don't see how that will have much effect on UNC. Spartans will need a near flawless performance while the Heels will have to play less than stellar in the biggest game any of the current players have been involved in. Both Roy and Tom will be seeking admission into the rarified club of the multiple title fraternity, but only one will get be given this secret password tonight. UNC is 4-0 all-time versus Spartans in tournament play, including 2-0 in Final Four games....which UNC went on to win the title both times....1957 and 2005. North Carolina has covered every tourney game so far, and no reason to think they won't in this one as well. In fact, you'd have to be a true ABC club member (acronym for Anyone But Carolina), to not think they win and cover this number. LEVEL 3: North Carolina -7.5 Winning streak was snapped at 5 weeks as the NBA started 0-5 and made for a rather steep hole to completely climb out of without some "lunatic" wager, but did manage to finish a poor week off by hitting LEVEL 5 play on North C Carolina and finally getting some wins in the NBA with Sunday L3 winner on the Cavaliers, an L1 win on Denver to counteract a L2 loss on the Bobcats as they were Bynum"ed" by the Pistons. Overall, KTS managed to pick up $606 on a 3-1 day combining the NBA with the MLB win. MLB season off to a nice start as KTS picks up $246 with a LEVEL 2 win on the Braves at +123.
