It was a scarry night and all the Ghosts and Gobblins of the Quilcene harbor Yacht Club were out in full force, for there annual costume party. It was hosted by Connie Rae, Lori Truesdel, Nick & Teri. After several days of decorating and collecting all the scarry stuff they could find the party went off with out a Bloody Screeeem! Everyone had great costumes and they danced into the night with Nick being the DJ and Teri serving up some steaming refreshments. The Club brought in $530 .00 in donations and it was a great time. |

Dave and Patty Turley really out did themselves on this event, with the help of Julie Olson. The club was decorated in several thousand dollars worth of old west antiques as the members came in the door wearing there favorite western outfit.. Dave was our Western Chef who cooked up a splended roast with an old west flavor. There were tons of great dishes the members brought also, not to mention all the Chili that came in the door for the Chili cook off contest. $50.00 was first prize and that was won by Karen Hopkins. Dave doubled as Chef and DJ for the evening playing lots of Country tunes for everyone to dance to. Patty took over the watering hole for all the thirsty cowboys and there were lots of them! I know how much work it is to put on an event like this and Dave and Patty did a Bang! Bang! Bang! Up Job. Not to mention the several hundred dollars they took in donations for the Club. Great Job Guys!!!! |

Connie Rae headed this fantastic dinner again and it just keeps getting better and better. I believe this was our 9th Christmas dinner since the club was organized in 1989, and Connie Hughes did another great job catering this event., with a choice of Prime Rib or Stuffed Halibut. Peggy Pederson donated the fine china and Mari Phillips got the tree and decorations. The clubhouse looked very festive. It was a lot of work and everyone did a great job putting this on. All the center pieces for the tables were put together by Joan Swanson and Joannie McDonald. The members brought their favorite wine, and a exchange gift that is always fun. Everyone turned out for this event except for Don and Lori who had a previous engagement. Needless to say the Clubhouse was full. Thanks Connie for all the hard work that went into this wonderful Christmas Dinner. |

Finally a beautiful night for the annual Christmas boat parade. All the boats gathered in Quil harbor about 4:00 P.M. Under calm seas. It was a little Chilly before the hot totties kicked in, but by 6:00 P.M. we were ready to sail. Ray McDonald and Joannie brought Classic Sound in from Pleasant Harbor, along with Clayton aboard Nirvana. Jeff had the Lois Jane in Quil eariler that day. Dave and Patty were aboard Pleasure Spot, Connie and Gary were on the Native Lady. Nick and Teri carried the sound system on Infinity. Don and Lori were on C'est La Vie and Larry picked up the slack in his Trophy. It was a great time as we all motored around Quil Bay before departing for Pleasant Harbor, where we recieved a warm reception at the docks from all the boaters, with horns blowing and lights flashing. It was a beautiful sight with all the lights glistening off the water and the sounds of Christmas music bouncing off the waves. Thanks Guys for putting all the hard work into your boats it was a great time. |
