Hi I'm Rob. I'm a Firefighter/EMT-Specialist(or Intermediate). Right now I work for Securitas Security Services USA at the GM Proving Ground in Milford MI I know you think Security and think EEWWWWWWWWW!!! I did, but it's cool. All of us in security except a few are Firefighter/EMT and most of us are from volunteer depts. in the area. Along with a volunteer fire brigade made up of GM personnel that we train we are known as the Emergency Response Team. See below for a picture of the apparatus and descriptions. We cover about 6 sq. mi. of land, over 100 buildings, and 120 miles of test track and access roads. We perform fire protection, fire extinguisher, and security inspections. We provide BLS EMS response for all of the grounds and provide full rescue response for any vehicle crashes on grounds. We are also respond to hazardous materials incidents at the technician level. We also recieve training in Confined Space Rescue. We are also responsible for inspecting any construction on grounds for safety violations. We get a bunch of scrap cars throughtout the year to either burn or practice extrication with. In the last year or so we have been getting a lot of newer stuff. As the Desert Proving Ground in Mesa, AZ closes, we have been getting newer gear and newer Drager packs (They are cool as heck.)We also got their engine. It's newer than ours and has an extra cab (I think they call it a Minnesota cab.) It's alright but usually is doing standbys for race track.

I also work for Hart Medical EMS. It's a small EMS company for special events ie: nightclubs, concert venues, convention halls festivals, ect... Some of the best stuff I've worked includes The North American International Auto Show, The Michigan State Fair, The Detroit Thunderfest, W4 Country Downtown Hoedown, Detroit Autorama, The 1996 Atlanta Olympic Parade as it crossed through Detroit. I've seen over 100 concerts with Hart. Some of my favorites have been, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Pantera, The Insane Clown Posse(not their music but their stageshow is real funny), Sponge, The Misfits (I got to treat one of them at one show), and Gwar (once again not the music but a funny stage show).Also before I worked there Hart Medical organized the 1994 Woodstock's EMS.
