Michaela was sleeping peacefully when Sully came creeping into the room with a tray of breakfast food. He smiled as he quietly set the tray on the vanity and made his way to Michaela’s side of the bed. “Michaela?” Sully whispered into her ear. “Michaela?” He started to rub her arms gently. “Hmm..?” Michaela stirred at the sound and caresses. Soon she fluttered her eyes open to see his face. “Mornin’” Sully smiled as he greeted her. Then he leaned down and placed a soft kiss on her lips. “Good morning,” Michaela slowly opened her eyes after the kiss ended. She cupped his head in her hands and gave him a quick kiss in return. Sully stood up and walked towards the tray as Michaela looked on suspiciously. “I thought we could eat in private for once.” He explained while slowly sitting down on the side of the bed and putting the tray on his lap. Michaela watched him intently as he picked up a strawberry and slowly put in infront of Michaela’s mouth. She looked at him slyly before willfully biting into the juicy strawberry. A drip of juice collected on the corner of her mouth and before Michaela could reach to wipe it away, Sully grabbed her hand and moved in to lick it off of her face, which soon became a kiss. Quickly, the tray was set on the floor as Sully layed back down on the bed caressing Michaela’s back with his hands. ******************* Michaela was dressed in comfortable clothes and putting up her hair while Sully looked at her adoringly. “What?” Michaela asked curiously as she put a bobby pin into her long hair. “I just never knew you were so…willingly.” Sully’s eyes gleemed. Michaela’s face grew a pinkish shade. “Well aren’t you glad you married me so now you could find some of my secrets out?” Michaela played along. “How about we go on a walk today?” Sully attempted to change the subject with a grin on his face. “I’d love that.” Michaela looked at Sully’s reflection in the mirror before getting up from her seat and walking up to him. “Good. I know a perfect spot.” He looked down at her. “You do huh?” Michaela looked up with her eyes gleaming. She put her hands on her hips playfully. How she loved him. They had been married for nearly a week but it seemed like they’ve known each other forever. “Yeah, I do.” Sully smiled before kissing her quickly on the lips. “I can’t wait,” She replied with a half grin that she gave many times before. ******************** "Can I help ya two?" Dorothy looked up from her printing press as Colleen and Brian walked into the merchantile. "We're jest lookin' Ms. Dorothy." Colleen quickly spoke up as she walked over the sweet smelling soaps. "We're tryin ta find a present fer Ma an' Sully so we can give it to um when they get back. We wanna surprise them." Brian quickly informed her. "Brian!" Colleen scolded as she rolled her eyes. There secret now out in the open. "Oops.. sorry!" Brian quickly covered his mouth. "I wasn't suppost ta say anythin!" "No kidding!" Colleen said sarcastically. Dorothy laughed silently. "Well, what do ya have in mind?" She leaned down to look at Brian eye to eye. "I don't know.. we dont got much money." Brian sounded a little disappointed and looked down at his dusty boots. "You must be missin' em pretty bad huh?" Dororthy was sympathetic. "Yeah, we all do." Colleen said rather quietly walking up next to Brian. "They've been gone almost a week and we haven't heard anything!" Brian sounded rather disappointed giving a puppy dog type face. "Well they've probably been so busy, but I'm sure they're thinkin of ya all the time!" "If they think about us all the time why dont they wire?" Brian seemed a little disappointed. "Well.. if they cant write..." Dorothy coaxed. "Because they're too busy..." Colleen's eyes lit up. "We could write them! Yeah! Thank's Ms. Dorothy!" With that Brian ran out of the store an off to the depot. "Brian! Wait up!" Colleen yelled after him. "Thanks Ms. Dorothy!" Colleen said to her before running out the door herself. Dorothy leaned against the doorframe smiling. "Im sorry Horace! Good luck with that telegram!" She said underneath her breath before shaking her head and and turning back to get back to the Gazette. ***************** "Sully! It's so beautiful! How did you find out about this place?" Michaela's eyes were wide like a little child eyeing a piece of candy. "I knew ya would like it," Sully put his arms around her shoulders. "When I first met up with the Indians we came here for a peace conference and we camped out here. I learned the most valuable things from Cloud Dancing here." "Thank you for bringing me here. I know how special this is to you." Michaela looked towards him speaking from her heart. CONTINUED |
