Did you know?

Did you know that killer whales are actually dolphins? Well they are! They are the biggest member of the dolphin family. They are consiedered dolphins because they have a dorsal fin.True whales don't have dorsal fins. The reason a killer whale may be consiedered a whale, however,is because it is so big in size!

Did you know that if a dolphin gets injured the other dolphins will help it survive and take care of it? Most of the time dolphins swim in groups of about 6 or maybe more. When a dolphin gets injured 2 dolphins will get under the injured dolphin(so one under each flipper) and they will keep the injured dolphin above the water so it can breathe. About every six minutes the dolphins will switch with other dolphins so that they can get a breath. The dolphins will continue taking turns taking care of the injured dolphin until it is better and can swim on its own.
