Wings coast in New York

Usually, the Saints (2-4) defend their home turf fericously, losing on rarely to the best teams in the NLL at Nassau Coliseum. This year, they have already dropped 2 games, one by 11 to Pittsburgh and tonight by 6 to Philadelphia (4-1). The tremendous play of Dallas Eliuk, Game MVP, never let the Saints get any closer than 9-7. The Wings were led offensively by Kevin Finneran (3G, 5A). The Saints were led by Colsey and Panetta, each with 5 points. A crowd of only 5,618 was there to see it.

Smash rally falls just short from 1st quarter 5-1 deficit

For the Syracuse Smash (0-5), it seemed to be business as usual. They fell behind the New York Saints (3-4) 5-1 after the first quarter. However, even lacking superstar Paul Gait who was traded to Pittsburgh, the Smash rallied to trail only 7-6 at the half and to tie it at 12 by the end of 3. Their rally fell just short, however, when New York outscored Syracuse 3-1 in the 4th to take a 15-13 win.
