Altitude Camp

At the present time, Men's Development will be sponsoring a Spring altitude training camp in Flagstaff, Arizona, prior to the USATF Championships.
Note that this camp is by invitation only
Approximately 30 of the top U.S. athletes in the steeplechase, 5,000m, 10,000m, and marathon have contacted and invited to attend.
Women's Development *may* fund an altitude camp depending on the interest of enough top US athletes. Top 20 ranked women athletes who are interested in attending a spring altitude camp should contact Teri Jordan or Terry Crawford a.s.a.p.
Key details of the Men's camp
- Site: Flagstaff, AZ (altitude 7,100ft)
- Dates: April 27 - May 31, 1998
- What is covered: Housing and a food budget. Each athlete is responsible for their own transportation to and from Flagstaff.
- Number of slots: Funding is available for 15 athletes. Additional athletes may be able to attend if they are willing to pay their own costs.
- Purpose of the camp: To expose elite U.S. distance athletes to the potential performance enhancement that altitude training can provide.
