Spencerville OY3 Event and MTB Orienteering Event

Start times: 10:00-12:30 (foot orienteering, course closure 2:30pm)

The MTBO at Spencer park will be a 90 minutes score event, starting at 1pm from the main event registration area.  Standard club entry fees will apply.
Sport Ident: Yes
Driving directions: Travel to Spencerville, follow Heyders Road past holiday park and turn right into the loop road.  Registration area is near the surf club.  Follow orienteering signs from Heyders Road. Terrain:  Intricate sand dune terrain, mostly forested and with many tracks.

Waikari event  - Sunday 24th May This map is rolling farmland with small areas of forest, matagouri and limestone outcrops. 6 long distance courses will be offered using SportIdent - White, Yellow, Orange, Short Red, Medium Red, Long Red plus a String course.

Access: The Event Centre will be at Wai-iti farm on McRaes Road.  From the south, turn to the right off SH7, just after the small bridge, 2 km north of Waikari township. Travel 3.5 km on the gravel road to the event centre on the left.   About 75 km from Christchurch.  Allow  about 1 hour 10 minutes drive time.  Registration, start and finish will all be adjacent to the carparking area.
Start times between 10:30am and 1:00pm.  Course closure 2:30 pm
Absolutely no dogs allowed.  No smoking.  Please respect the private property at the event centre and on your course. The Waikari Play Centre will have a Food Stall at the event.  Please support the local community in their fundraiser.  Last year the food was delicious!  

Woodend OY4 - Sunday 21st June

Driving directions   Drive north on SH1 to Woodend. Turn right into Woodend Beach Rd at the south end of the Woodend Township and follow road to its end at the beach

Terrain description    Pine forest on sand dunes with intricate contour detail. Minimal climb. Mostly runnable but some gorse.
