piranha
(pî-rän¹ye) or caribe, predatory freshwater fish of the family Characidae, found in east and central South America, especially in the Amazon. The piranha (genus Serrasalmus) has powerful jaws and razor-sharp triangular teeth and is capable of killing cattle and human beings. The largest piranha is c.2 ft (60 cm) long.


TEAM HISTORY

The Piranhas formed on March 2, 1996,  have accomplished the following:

  • 4 WAGS division championships, 4 WAGS second place finishes

  • 8 tournament championships

  • 2001 Snickers Maryland State Cup Champions (U-18)

and met many wonderful friends along the way. The team is made up of student athletes from 10 high schools.
