Nov. 4, 2000 Hartford 3 - QUEBEC 2 - QUEBEC (Ticker) - Jeff Ulmer scored the game-winning goal with 8:38 left in the third period as the Hartford Wolf Pack edged the Quebec Citadelles, 3-2. Tony Tuzzolino and Burke Henry each scored first-period goals to give Hartford a 2-1 lead before Quebec's Marc Beaucage tied the score at 2-2 at the 10-minute mark of the opening stanza. Ulmer, who won an NCAA Championship in 1997 with the University of North Dakota, gave the Wolf Pack the lead for good with his fifth goal of the season. Mike Harder picked up a pair of assists and Jean-Francois Labbe stopped 34 shots in the win. Pierre Sevigny scored the Citadelles' first goal 7:05 into the first period. Eric Fichaud suffered the loss despite turning aside 35 shots, including 19 of 20 in the second.

Nov. 3, 2000 PORTLANT 3 - Hartford 2 OT - PORTLAND, Maine (Ticker) - Glen Metropolit scored the game-winning goal with 1:51 left in overtime to lead the Portland Pirates past the Hartford Wolf Pack, 3-2. Mike Peluso's power-play goal with 2:37 remaining in the second period gave Portland a 2-1 lead before Hartford's Jeff Ulmer forced the extra session with an unassisted tally 7:03 into the third. Kent Hulst also scored with the man advantage for the Pirates and Sebastien Charpentier turned aside 36 shots to lead Portland to its fourth consecutive victory. Derek Armstrong opened the scoring for Hartford by scoring the Wolf Pack's 20th power-play goal of the season. Johan Holmqvist, who surrendered six goals to the Ottawa Senators two nights ago before being demoted from New York, stopped 25 shots in the loss.

Oct. 28, 2000 HARTFORD 7 - Lowell 1 - HARTFORD, Connecticut (Ticker) - Brad Smyth and Mike Harder both scored a pair of goals and Drew Bannister had three assists as the Hartford Wolf Pack defeated the Lowell Lock Monsters, 7-1. Smyth opened the scoring with a power-play goal 4:52 in the contest and added his ninth marker of the season on the man advantage with 9:57 left in the middle stanza. Harder netted his first tally 5:50 into the second period and added a power-play goal 1:01 into the third. Bannister helped out on a pair of second-period goals for Hartford, which has won its last four home games. Jean-Francois Labbe turned aside 31 of the 32 shots that he faced to run his record to 3-2-0. Eric Belanger scored Lowell's lone goal 47 seconds into the final period. Steve Passmore gave up five goals on 16 shots before being replaced midway through the second period.

Oct. 26, 2000 HARTFORD 3 - Kentucky 1 - HARTFORD, Connecticut (Ticker) - Derek Armstrong had a goal and an assist and Johan Holmquist turned away 23 shots as the Hartford Wolf Pack beat the Kentucky Thoroughblades, 3-1. Armstrong, who assisted on Johan Witehall's shorthanded in the second period, netted a power-play marker with 25 seconds remaining in the contest. Holmquist had eight saves in the first period and nine in the second to improve to 3-1-0. Mike Harder contributed a shorthanded goal in the first stanza for Hartford, which tied the score at 1-1. Ryan Kraft opened the scoring with a shorthanded goal 6:42 into the contest for Kentucky. Vesa Toskala surrendered three goals on 31 shots for the loss.

Oct. 22, 2000 WORCESTER 8 - Hartford 2 - WORCESTER, Massachusetts (Ticker) - Chris Murray recorded a hat trick and Andrei Tronchinsky scored a pair of goals as the Worcester Ice Cats downed the Hartford Wolf Pack, 8-2. Murray netted his first goal of the season at 10:08 of the first period, added a marker three minutes later, and completed the hat trick 4:40 into the second. Tronchinsky tallied with 10 seconds remaining in the second period and scored his second goal with 4:02 left in the third to give Worcester a commanding 8-0 lead. Dwayne Roloson recorded 38 saves to earn the win for the Ice Cats. Brad Smyth's tally with 1:44 remaining in the third period and Derek Amrsrtong's goal with one second left prevented the shutout for Hartford. Jean-Francois Labbe allowed eight goals to suffer his second loss for the Wolf Pack.

Oct. 21, 2000 HARTFORD 5 - Springfield 3 - HARTFORD, Connecticut (Ticker) - Derek Armstrong's shorthanded goal broke a third-period tie as the Hartford Wolf Pack scored three times in the final stanza to beat the Springfield Falcons, 5-3. Brad Smyth opened the scoring with a power-play goal at 8:37 of the first period and added an assist on Ken Gernander's tally with the man advantage which tied the score at 3-3 30 seconds into the third. Armstrong followed 2:38 later with his second goal of the season for a 4-3 Hartford lead and Johan Witehall added an empty-net goal and registered a pair of assists. Rookie Johan Holmqvist made 17 saves for the victory. Trent Hunter, Craig Mills, and Ramzi Abid each scored second-period goals for Springfield. Steve Valiquette suffered the loss despite stopping 46 shots, including 23 in the first period.

Oct. 14, 2000 Louisville 6 - HARTFORD 1 - HARTFORD, Connecticut (Ticker) - Brad Smyth scored two goals and an assist and Jean-Francois Labbe made 34 saves as the Hartford Wolf Pack crushed the Louisville Panthers, 6-1. Smyth, who netted a team-high 39 goals last season, scored a power-play goal at 3:31 in the first period and again with 7:10 left in the second. Mike Mottau, last season's Hobey Baker Award winner, and Jeff Ulmer also added power-play tallies and Mike Harder had a goal and a pair of assist as Hartford went 4-for-10 with the man advantage and registered a season-best 53 shots on goal. Labbe picked up his second win of the season and helped stop all seven of Louisville's power-play opportunities. Eric Beaudoin scored for the Panthers and Sean Gauthier suffered his third loss of the season after allowing six goals on 39 shots before being replaced in the third stanza by Ryan Bach.

Oct. 13, 2000 Hartford 3 - SPRINGFIELD 1 - PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island (Ticker) - Judd Lambert made 31 saves and Peter Vandermeer broke a second-period tie with a power-play goal as the Providence Bruins defeated the Hartford Wolf Pack, 3-1. Lambert, who helped Providence kill all four of Hartford's power plays, turned aside 19 shots over the final two periods to earn his first win as a member of the Bruins. Vandermeer's tally with 24 seconds left in the second period gave Providence a 2-1 lead after Lee Goren opened the scoring with a power-play goal at 8:58 of the second stanza. Former New York Ranger farmhand Peter Ferraro put the game away for the Bruins with an empty-net goal in the third as Providence improved to 2-0 versus Hartford this season after losing to the Wolf Pack in the Conference Finals last season. Mike Harder scored an even-strength goal in the second period for Hartford and Johan Holmqvist stopped 43 shots but suffered the first loss of his AHL career.

Oct. 9, 2000 Hartford 6 - ROCHESTER 1 - ROCHESTER, New York (Ticker) - Johan Whitehall scored twice in five minutes as the Hartford Wolf Pack defeated the Rochester Americans, 6-1. Whitehall tallied at 6:12 and 11:01 as part of a three-goal first period and added an assist in the second. J.F. Labbe turned aside 26 of 27 shots to earn the win. Burke Henry and Ken Gernander each had a goal and two assists for Hartford, which has won its first two road games. Kirk Daubenspeck took the loss, allowing six of 26 shots to get past him. Chris Taylor scored at 17:53 of the first period for Rochester, which dropped its first game of the season after two wins.

Oct. 7, 2000 Providence 9 - HARTFORD 4 - HARTFORD, Connecticut (Ticker) - Eric Manlow recorded a goal and three assists as the Providence Bruins received a goal from nine different players to rout the Hartford Wolf Pack, 9-4. Manlow tied the score at 3-3 with 1:48 left in the first period after Hartford jumped out to an early three-goal lead. Jeremy Brown and Lee Goren followed with power-play tallies to close out the scoring in the second period for Providence. Ivan Huml, Peter Ferraro, Mike Omicioli and Aniket Dhadphale put the game out of reach with goals in the third period for the Bruins, who went 4-for-6 with the man advantage. Kay Whitmore turned aside 28 shots to preserve the win. Jeff Ulmer, Johan Witehall and Brad Smyth notched power-play goals and Derek Armstrong picked up a goal and two assists for the Wolf Pack. J.F. Labbe, who backstopped Hartford to an overtime victory over Providence in Game Seven of last year's third-round series, surrendered five goals on 15 shots before being replaced by Johan Holmqvist.

Oct. 6, 2000 Hartford 3 - SPRINGFIELD 1 - SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts (Ticker) - Johan Holmquist had 31 saves and Manny Malhotra scored a goal as the Hartford Wolf Pack defeated the Springfield Falcons, 3-1. Holmquist yielded a first-period goal before turning away 27 shots over the last two periods for the win. Malhotra broke a 1-1 tie with 8:37 remaining in the opening stanza. Johan Witehall tied the contest at 1-1 with 5:44 in the first period for Hartford, winners of last season's Calder Cup. Brad Smyth added a tally in the final period for the Wolf Pack. Eric Healy scored the game's first goal at 4:02 in the opening period for Springfield, which lost to Hartford in the first round of the playoffs last season. Patrick DesRochers, who shutout the Wolf Pack in a playoff game last year, allowed three goals on 32 shots and suffered the loss.
