Now onto the past......
My first favorite band of all time, at least that I can remember was Kiss. I can remember scaring my parents many times throwing their latest 8-track into the stereo and rocking to it. I guess it was a little scary having their four year old son running around the house sticking his tongue out like Gene Simmons and listening to heavy metal.
Well, my parents quickly got me out of that stage and I moved onto much calmer music, Hall and Oates. Who would have thought that someone so onto Kiss could jump right to Hall and Oates? Well, I guess I did. While I was listening to Hall and Oates I was also into bands such as REO Speedwagon and Night Ranger.
I hit middle school and got into the pop scene. My favorite group had to be The Hooters. A great band from Philadelphia that is unfortunately no longer around. I was also listening to groups such as the Police, Hall and Oates (still), Night Ranger, and other bands like that.
Once high school came on I started to really get into Queen. I still like the group and wish that Freddie was still around with the group making fresh music. Listening to Queen also got me into bands such as Mott the Hoople and Billy Squire.
Once I got to college, I entered the grunge scene. Bands like Pearl Jam and Nirvana topped my list. I was also into the Meat Puppets and other such music. Then came the fateful night that would change my life forever when I started getting into the Tragically Hip. They remain my favorite to this day. One thing that I cannot believe is that along with rock and roll music, I am also into country. Who would have thought?
So who else do I listen to now? Below are pictures of some of my favorite bands and solo artists (of course besides the Hip): Click on the links to go to their Official Webpage!!!
