Well another year has gone by. I was at the State Wrestling Tournament and I've got to tell you once again I was disappointed with the Officials. Many were very inconsistant with their calls. One call was between Derek Salazar 119 lb from Roosevelt and
Leon Trujillo, Walsenburg. It cost Trujillo the chanmpionship title. He showed the media and those that believed they could beat him by knocking both battlemountain and Centauri Polkowski what a match. Trujillo was awesome and although this was his las
year he went out with a bang. Too bad the referee that officiated his match with Salazar was terrible. Any way I am proud of him and he will always be a champion to me those that supported him through his years (but what the hell does this have to do w
th CCHS wrestling?).

It is great to see a dyanamite web site for a Colorado High School Wrestling team. We just started our site in Limon, for the Regional Tournament this year, and I have picked up several good additions from your site.
Stop over and see our site, we have final brackets for all Colorado classes on a quick link. Please make suggestions for improving our web site, and encourage other teams to get web sites up and running so that we can share information about the Colorado
wrestlers which never make the newspapers, much less the TV news.
This can be a great support builder for wrestling in Colorado, and get our guys the recognition and the college scholarships which they have earned and which they so richly deserve.

Duff Seaney Hello! I am glad to see by the stats that our 1992 team is still holding on to one of the best records that Canon City has ever seen with a 5th place team state championship. I remember that day clearly. I must say I am still an avid fan, e
en now eight years later. I am working at a high school in New Mexico and enjoy going to the matches there, and always think of the great times and matches that I was a part of in Canon City having many friends back then on the team and cheering them on.
