WMFE will be responsible for notifying and delivering the broadcast to the more than 300 independent PBS stations in mid-October. Check with your local PBS station for air dates. One final reminder that the Silver Anniversary edition of the 1997 Summer Music Games World Championships will start one hour earlier than usual, at 5:00 PM, on Saturday, Aug. 16.CELEBRITY FAN BADGE
Fill out an information card at the DCI Midwest Preview in Whitewater, the DCI East Preview in Allentown, or the DCI World Championships in Orlando and receive a DCI 25th Anniversary Celebrity Fan Badge personalized with your name and the year you first attended a DCI World Championships. You'll also receive another collector's item: a 25th Anniversary commemorative logo pin.Wear the Celebrity Fan Badge at each of the above mentioned events and become eligible to win a variety of prizes. DCI 25th Anniversary Prize Patrol teams will randomly select badge-wearing fans for t-shirts, hats, CD's, video's and other DCI merchandise. The Prize Patrol will also be looking for badges at the On-Stage performance series, at I&E events in Pleasure Island, and at the DCI Championships Parade and Showcase in EPCOT.
There is also an opportunity for Grand Prizes, which will be drawn from the cards you fill out. The Grand Prize drawn and announced at Whitewater, July 26, will be two 50 yard line seats and 1 hotel room for two nights for the 1998 "Midwest" event. The grand prize drawn in Allentown, Aug. 2, will be two 50 yard line seats and 1 hotel room for two nights for the 1998 "East" event. Dates and locations for both 1998 events to-be-determined and announced this Fall.
The grand prize given at the DCI World Championships, Aug. 16, will be two tickets for all events at the 1998 DCI World Championships, 2 multi-day passes to Walt Disney World Resorts, one hotel room at the DCI headquarters for 4 nights and airfare for two from anywhere in the Continental United States and Canada.
Entrants for the Grand Prizes must be at least 18 years old to register. Winners need not be present to win.
