I have been skating for 4 years and its the best sport in the world. I luv 2 sk8 very much and I don't think I could ever give it up. Right now Im not skating because of work, but hope to return to the ice soon. I was in freestyle 5 and working on my lutz jump before I left. I was also going to test at the Adult Bronze level and pre-preliminary level. Good luck to all skaters. E-mail me at luv2sk81@excite.com If you have a dream just believe in it and make it come true. Katie:) P.S if your in college like me I would love to hear from you8-)

I don't really know why I skate but I sure love it!I do not dream of going to Olympics cause I'm too old but I'd like to become a coach.I coached a little four years old this years and I just loved it!I can't describe the feeling to see her stepping on the ice, with her little skates, taking her pose,in front of a whole bunch of people, looking at you because she does not remember what to do!! =))

I only started skating in november, our rink is not open during the summer. This isn't stopping me. I am doing ballet and swimming to stay in shape. In the fall, i hope to skate every day. i'll be fifteen in a couple weeks, so I haven't got time to lose. although I dream of the olpymics, evrey tiny thing I can do feels so cool!- Jenny

Skating is a lot of fun and extremely challenging. It allows you to meet a lot fo interesting people and to take part in many fun filled events. I personnally have been skating for 3 years and love every minute of it. Elvis and Shae and Victor are my absolut favorite skaters, they inspire me each and every time I watch them. Hi. My name is Tammy. I am 25 years of age, married and a mom . I still love to compete but there isn't very many competions for skaters of my age who are not at a novice level. I love artistic the best. What is really hard is people telling me that younger skaters may not feel comfortable around me. This is nonsense. I have always been the oldest in my group in any competition I have ever entered. I have always gotten along with everyone. I love to skate and I don't plan on quitting just because of my age. This year I won my first medal at Sectionals. It was silver. I am very proud of this medal. For all of those older skaters out there who want to keep on competing, do it. Don't let anyone stop you. Hold on to your dreams. Tammy from Canada. e-mail - macleodtammy@hotmail.com If there are any other skaters out there who have trouble competing because of age, share your thoughts with me. Maybe we might be able to get more events for us to compete in.

Hi my name is Hanna, and I am figure skating coach. I have been training athletes for 13 years in both Canada and the United States. I mostly train serious competitive skaters who desire National, Worlds or Olympic status. I love to work with figure skaters because of the deep passion that is involved and the strong dedication that goes with it. It is truly a rewarding career and the most fulfilling work I have ever done or imagined. I am currently training skaters in Nova Scotia Canada...Digby and Yarmouth Figure Skating Clubs. I have European skaters as well. I am always searching for raw talent and invite any skater who wishes to train in Canada under my direction to contact me via email at hannab@klis.com. My website is under construction at www.geocities.com/Wellesley/Garden/5387 please check there often as it will be update and set up soon.

I have skated since I was 15 on a samll pond, growing up I wanted to be a speed skater until I watched the olympics and seen the power and the grace coupled with the speed. I now get the pleasure of teaching my wife how to skate it's amazing how two pieces of metal attached to a boot, make us both care for each other in a wonderful way! thanks LanceMadison@usa.net

I have always loved to skate and unfortunately cannot right now, so I want to remind every one to appreciate every moment you spend on the ice guys, and keep on doing your best!

Figure skating rocks! Sure, I just started, but I love it already! You're right, Kara, not many places to skate here in the Philippines!

I have been skating for about a year now, and went through the basic skills program at my local rink. Im already learning my axel and am in pre-juvenile. I think that figure skating helps you set goals and dreams, and keeps you out of trouble. I always sit back and ask myself where would I be if I wasn't skating? I can't really think of that because skating is my life. It has taken over me in such a way I can't think of myself not skating. I love it and never want to give up. It is like an addiction you just can't shake off. My dreams are high up there (Nationals, Worlds, Olympics), but with a little practice and a little sacrifice, anyone can reach their dreams.
Keep skating,
Lisa

I think figure skating is the best sport. I am not the kind of person to like this sport. I am a red belt in tae kwon do and I never knew that I would like figure skating in a million years. Now I have been skating for a year and a half. I would like to try pairs but I had no luck finding a partner. I train at a small rink in Hong Kong. My favourite skater is Tara Lipinski. She really is a great skater and good luck to all skaters in the world!

I love to see Michelle Kwan skate because she has a combination of beauty and grace. I wish her luck at next Olympics. I hope she would win a gold medal. As for Tara Lipinski, I am very happy that she turn Pro.

My name is Heather. I was a figure skater for 11 years. Skating was my life, I had to quit because of an injury, but for all those other skaters out there never give up your dream, and try your hardest at every jump and spin that you do. Never give and always try to be the best at what you do. Skating is an expression of yourself, when you are out there just let yourself go and let your skates just take you where they want too. Have fun and never give up!!!

I just started skating 2 years ago. Im not that good I am only learning singles but I just love skating and have so much fun. Im so happy! Im getting new skates this fall!Even when Im not skating Im drawing pictures of skaters or thinking of skating. from Bethany

I love figure skating and everything about it. When I get on the ice it is like a take on a different personality. I have always had the dream to figure skate and finally I put my mind to it, and you can't get me off the ice. I finally found something I love and something I am good at. I have a dream to one day be able to compete in the olympics with Michelle Kwan and other greats, but just competing is enough. Just having the feeling that I can do something that not many people around me at school can't. Skating is passion, enjoyment, and a lot of work, but it is worth it! If you are as fond of skating as I am E-mail me smmill@mc.net!

Figure Skating is the life of many people (like all of us writing here) and if someone thinks it's not a sport, well, if they could just see how much time and effort (and money) we put in to it, they might think a little differently!!!!
Katie

Skating is the most important thing in my life. Every morning when I get up it is the first thing that I think of. Even though I am not that good I think the figure skating is a great sport. Kassandra Bidwell-ILUV2SK8@usa.net

I love to skate because I love of the feeling of the wind in my face. I love to jump and spin. I could stay on the ice all day if I could. My favorite skaters are Josee Chounaird, Keyla Ohs, Kurt Browning, Shae and Vic and Ekaternia Gordeeva. E-mail me at figure8gatim@hotmail.com

I love skating even though I don't personally skate. If I had the chance I would skate all day every day of my life. My favorite skater in Ekaterina Gordeeva. She has captured my heart.
