| FORMAT: | The tournament will have an ABCD format in which all
players, regardless of rank, will be entered in the A draw. First round
losers will then play in the C tournament and first round losers in the C
will play in the D. Second round losers in the A will play in the B. This
format ensures a minimum of three matches for everyone in each event - and
will be used in all events for which sufficient entries are received.
Entries may be limited, with priority given to paid entries received in the mail. |
| SCORING SYSTEM: | All matches will be the best of 3 games to 15 points (eleven points for women's singles). Consolation events may be one game to 21 points depending on size of entry. |
| ENTRY FEES: | $15 per person per event (Juniors, under 18, $12 per person per event). Checks should be made payable to Metropolitan Badminton Association. |
| USAB | All participants must be or become members of USA Badminton. Options: present your current USAB card at registration, take out full membership at $25 for a year or become a tournament only member at $15 for a year. USAB membership may be purchased at the tournament desk. Prior to the tournament you may join directly by calling USAB at 719-578-4808 |

IMPORTANT INFORMATION SCHEDULE: This will be a full two-day tournament. Play will be continuous from 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, November 10, continuing on Sunday, November 11 at 9:00a.m with play finishing by 5:00 p.m. |

Finals noon Because of the large number of matches that will need to be played and the tight time schedule, it is essential that players are ready to play when called. Any player responsible for a delay of more than 10 minutes after his/her match has been called will be defaulted. DIRECTIONS From I 95 North or South, take Exit 18 (Sherwood Island State Park) Turn inland towards Route 1. At junction of Route 1 turn right towards Fairfield. At second light, turn left onto Morningside Drive S.. Turn right onto Long Lots Road. Turn left onto North Avenue. School is located at 70 North Avenue. Turn right into school. At blue sign for Westport Senior Center turn left. Parking in staff lot up the hill. Ahead will be the Lou Nistico Athletic Complex, South Entrance.
