The Pardoner wore a cap with a Veronica
stitched on the front.
A Veronica is a reproduction of the
handkerchief bearing the impression of Christ’s
face,
It was said to have been impressed on the
handkerchief that
St. Veronica gave Him to wipe His face
with on the way to His Crucifixion.
He wore a latten cross embossed with
stones.
