...It wasn't a wasted trip...

Hey! Yesterday after much crying and carrying on because I didn't think I was going to see the love of my life, Taylor Dent, my good friend Jen said "Let's just go" So- off we went to the Open. It couldn't have been any easier. We were still dressed in our suits from work so we must have looked important because the nice guy at the gate waved us through to press parking. So we parked and went right to Taylors match (no tickets no nothing!)- saw the last set- it was tragic. I was so bummed! Then we decided to find out what other matches were going on. That's when we saw him.....It was Pat! He was getting into a car. Jen (who couldn't care less about tennis or Pat) yelled "hey Pat!" he stopped getting in the car turned around and said "hi!" (I thought I was going to throw up) We said "good luck" and he said "thank you- are you going?" we told him we didn't know and I said "Don't Bonk" (I'm a dork, I know) he laughed and laughed. I guess the power bar commercial is more popular than I thought! Anyway- that's the big moment of the night.

Also of note (you guys might not care about this) we talked to the guy who was parked next to us (he was an authentic press guy) about how Pat got to play on Ashe Tuesday- he said there were so many calls about Pat not being seeded that they put him on Ashe to please the fans (smart people!) so that was my night.I'm sitting here at work after having about 2 hours sleep so please forgive all of my spelling errors. It was worth it though- Taylor and Pat in the span of about an hour! That's a good night and worth every minute of sleep I missed!
