This letter is to introduce you to the 1995 & 1996 Canadian National Jr. Women's Softball Champions, the Chinguacousy Cougars.
We are a league team, ages 23 and under, which plays throughout Canada and the U.S.A. We have won the Ontario Championship every year since 1990. From there, we went on to the Canadian Championships. We have won three National championships, once back to back, and finished no lower than Bronze in the last seven years.
We have eight players on scholarships throughout the U.S. Our pitchers played for the Ontario team in the Canada Summer Games in British Columbia in 1993, where they captured the Gold. In addition, eight players from our current roster received invitations and attended a national team development camp in Saskatchewan, with the possibility of competing for Canada in future Olympic Games.
Naturally, running a team of this magnitude requires funds, which go towards uniforms, equipment, tournament entry fees, hotel accomodations, airfare, etc.
We feel the Cougars would be an excellent advertising opportunity in view of the fact that they have above average visibility. We have been "the team to beat" in Ontario fastball for the last several years and we intend that this will continue. We would definately entertain various options such as client name on uniforms, photos, appearances, demonstrations, commercials, etc. Our feeling is that with some promotional imagination, financial assistance to the Cougars would be mutually beneficial.
We need your financial assistance to help these aspiring and motivated young athletes to compete and excel at this elite level of their sport.
This year our ultimate goal is to repeat as
National Champions for an unprecedented third year in a row in Calgary,
Alberta.
Best Regards,
Mark Sanderson, Manager
