Who is Dave Te Thomas?
Dave Te Thomas runs a scouting information service called Professional Athletic
Personnel. He is a consultant to many teams in the NFL and NBA. He handles a scouting
staff of 75 whose duties are to test the sports' future stars prior to their upcoming
drafts. He is on the selection committee of the Blue-Gray game, and has been selection
chairman for the Japan Bowl and Hula Bowl in the past. He was the scouting information
director for the USFL at one time also. He has written articles for College & Pro
Football Weekly, AP, and several newspapers. He also runs a very successful nation-wide
training program for football and basketball athletes while serving as Director of
Operations for the National Sports Agency, one of the nations top player representation
firms that feature over 80 clients. He is also the writer of the NFL Draft Report, a tome
measured in pounds not pages. It is huge and is a must for draftniks like myself.

Plummer-6.6
Ralph Brown-Nebraska-5:09.6-175-4.55-6.4
THE NFL DRAFT REPORT RATES (Me);
DWAYNE GOODRICH-Tennessee-6.8 grade (use same grading system as National) Stays low &
turns his hips smoothly...Able to maintain his balance when engaging &
retreating...Has a strong closing burst & is very effective jamming at the
line...Overreacts at times & does not have natural hands for the
interception...Off-field fight saw him sit out a game this year (suspension).
ROBERT BEAN-Mississippi State-6.8 grade...Best deep cover man in college...Has shut down
opposing receivers in six of his last 13 games...Has a quick-footed backpedal...Fiesty
& strong in man coverage...True speedster with superb quickness & leaping
ability...Size & weight may concern some, but has been compared to Jets' Aaron Glenn.
BRIAN GRAY-Brigham Young-6:01.4-219-4.47-6.7 grade...Turns his hips well & can adjust
in his tackles...Strong closer who does a great job accelerating off the line...Leads with
his shoulders at times taking bad angles that result in overpursuit...Smooth coming out of
his backpedal...Shows discipline in the short area, allowing no cushion underneath.
RASHARD ANDERSON-Jackson State-6:02.4-204-4.42-6.6 grade...Rarely bites on fakes & is
very active in deep coverage...Fluid runner for a big man, displaying polish and strong
tackling form in run support...Does a fine job changing speeds coming out of his
backpedal...Excellent leaper who will not jump into his moves.
EVAN HOWELL-Oklahoma-5:11.3-183-4.36-6.4 grade...Textbook form wrapup tackler...Very
effective playing tight at the line...Does a fine job turning his hips and getting his
head around...Runs sharply once he gets into gear... Seems to freez on his moves going for
the ball on deep routes, though.
