Comments: Summer Reunion needs to be personal. It should be a fun-filled time where brothers can learn about each other, accept each other, and gain from each other. Reunion is about reuniting, bringing people together. It is not about destruction--tearing things apart. I feel that this reunion was not as good as it could have been. It was filled with plenty of great people, but lousy attitudes--not excluding myself. I love this Fraternity, but sometimes I'm not sure if I care as much about the people in it. Sometimes, I feel that many actives and alumni don't care anymore. I think that as a whole we are missing the primary values of Brotherhood--"I am my brother's keeper". We dabble in this mess which we call brotherhood only to protect those that we are closest too. What about those brothers, alumni that we are not closest too. I hope that reunion turns out better next summer. Most of all, I hope that we can put our differences (dislikes) aside and concentrate on brotherhood the sole reason for the existence of this Fraternity. Keep in mind, everyone of our brothers chose this fraternity out of all the others on campus. We all had a reason for joining and that reason is why others join. Once we let our reasons for joining fade, others can't see the reasons why they should join. I hope that we (fraternity) can re-establish the brotherhood that we once had and shine it throughout Murray State.

She is a substitute teacher in the Greene county area (where we live). She likes to write and has won acouple of awards and has had an article published in the Des Moines (IA) newspaper about what it was like to see our first grandchild for the first time. I'm really proud of what she has done in getting her degree at age 46. We like to do alot of things and mostly together. We like music (all kinds), like to travel, like antiques (have a house full of them), play in trivia matches in the St. Louis area with a team of people that I teach with, and just are each other's best friend. We are planning pretty seriously a trip to Europe in the next year or two (France and Germany). Kathy lived in France for three years when her dad was in the Air Force and my family is from Germany. Well, that's probably more than anyone wants to know, but it pretty well sums up what's been and is going on in my life.
