Famous Arkansans - Did you know Billy Bob Thornton, Conway Twitty, Jerry Van Dyke, Maya Angelou, John Grisham, "Dizzy" Dean, John Daly, Scottie Pippen, Sidney Moncrief, Mark Martin, and General Douglas McArthur were all from Arkansas? Find out who else falls under the "Famous Arkansans" category. NIEHS Kids' Pages - The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences has a page for kids that allows them (or you) to explore games, songs, riddles, jokes, and more! Enchanted Learning - All sorts of graphics, geography, flags, and other activities/projects for kids. Page by Page Books - Online books for free. Explore by title or author. Landmarks for Schools - A gathering of information to help students. Excellent resource for finding many different types of information on the web. Camp Courageous of Iowa- My friend Carol works here. It's a camp for people with disabilities. It's run entirely from donations. I visited in July 2003 and was very impressed with facilities and the care given. Rita Golden Gelman- I read her book Tales of a Female Nomad and loved it. She writes very honestly about her life and adventures (the two for her are inseperable). This is one author I think I would love to meet.Last Updated 03/11/03
