SCORING MADE EASY

COURSE SET UP

START...The start is several boxes, or rows set up in an even line, equal distance from the first turn. Each team is assigned a box. There must be a straight away of at least 100 meters at the start of each race.
TURNS...

Right turns are marked off by YELLOW flags.
Left turns are marked off by RED flags.
And going straight is marked off by BLUE flags.
FINISH... Again a 100 meter straight away is needed for a finish. This should be marked off with flags of some sort to "funnel" the runners into the finish line. After the line you should have a "chute", which should be roped off in some way. At the end of the chute the runners should be given a number according to their finish. It is easy to use index cards or popsicle sticks.

SCORING MADE EASY

Each competing team is allowed SEVEN runners. The first FIVE runners will count towards the team score. Each team adds up their first five runner's places and the LOWEST score wins the meet.
