  • An information system for raw material inventory control is builded in a private company.
  • The system is programmed in MSAccess 7.0.

Ergonomic Evaluation of the classes of IE Department in METU 

  • The classes were checked for illumination, heat stress, seating design and other various ergonomic issues.
  • New designs of the classes were done using AutoCAD R14.
  • The project ranked “top” in the department.

Comparison of Just-in-time and MRP Systems using Simulation 

  • The push and pull types of production are compared using simulation.
  • The required data and information were obtained from one of the main suppliers of TOYOTA Company in Turkey.
  • Simulation programming was done using SIMAN.

Time and Motion Study in Furniture Industry 

  • Work-study techniques were used for critical examination and improvement of manual stapling operation in a private furniture company.
  • The project ranked “top” in the department.
Fall, 1996 

Development of an Expert System for Tourism Agencies 

  • An expert system is created in order to assist the customers of tourism agencies in deciding where to make their holidays.
  • More than 100 hotels and 7 recreation areas in Turkey are integrated in a database that is constructed on WINESTA Expert System Shell obtained from Carnegie Mellon University.
  • The project received full grade and attracted the interest of Ministry of Tourism in Turkey.
