Former FBI Special Agent Gary Aldrich to speak at Eureka College
The College Republicans chapter of Eureka College is pleased to announce that former FBI special agent and best selling author Gary Aldrich will be speaking at Eureka College on February 16, 1999 at 7:30 PM in Becker Auditorium.
Gary Aldrich spent the last five years of a distinguished FBI career inside the White House, serving both the Bush and Clinton Administrations, performing background checks on incoming personnel. He brings a unique, insider's view of the goings on inside the White House and in Washington. From Vince Foster’s death, to Whitewater, Travelgate, and numerous security breakdowns, Aldrich put his good name and reputation on the line to allege corruption in the Clinton White House.
Aldrich’s book caused an immediate political storm in Washington. Clinton administration officials tried to keep the book from being published and gaining national attention. However, his book eventually became number one on the New York Times Best-Seller list.
In 1998, Aldrich teamed up with White House speechwriter Mark Davis to write Speak No Evil, a murder mystery with a dose of political intrigue. Readers have suggested that though the book is fictional, it reads as though it could have been taken from today’s newspaper headlines.
In addition to his two books, Aldrich founded the Patrick Henry Center, which assists government whistleblowers in coming forward to expose corruption. He is also the host of an interactive political talk show at talkspot.com.
