Welcome to the Democrat Dum-Dum Page!

As a registered Republican, I could hardly pass on the chance to poke some fun at those silly Democrats. But rather than depend on my own wit, I decided to just let those Democrat bozos speak for themselves. Collected below are a set of snippets from newspaper or magazine articles, where the Democrats speak in their own words and show their true colors. Enjoy...

"Moynihan Calls a Schumer Victory Crucial" 10/4/98

"Clinton Ally Is Refusing To Be Quiet" 10/8/98

"Report: Bush Wants Tax Cut This Year to Fuel Economy" 3/16/01

Some background: Daniel Patrick Moynihan is the senior Democratic senator from New York, age 71. Charles "Chuck" Schumer is a Democratic congressman trying to unseat New York's Republican senator, Alfonse "Al" D'Amato. Despite party differences, Moynihan and D'Amato are on excellent terms; they rarely criticize each other publicly. Moynihan also has a long history of staying out of other New York state campaigns...

From The New York Times, Sunday, October 4, 1998, an article titled "Moynihan Calls a Schumer Victory Crucial":

"As the news conference proceeded, the Senator looked increasingly flushed. When Mr. Moynihan was asked whether he considered Mr. D'Amato's campaign divisive, the Senator appeared confused and his speech was halting.

"'I'm going to have to go over there and sit down for a minute,' Mr. Moynihan said. 'I have a fever.'

"Mr. Schumer, who was watching Mr. Moynihan's difficulties with evident concern, said, 'The Senator had a cold and wasn't going to come today and then decided to come.'

"Then, assisted by Mr. Schumer and aides, Mr. Moynihan walked stiffly over to a folding chair in the back of the postage stamp of a yard where Mr. Schumer grew up and tried unsuccessfully to sit down.

"'Would you mind if I just went off to the car?' Mr. Moynihan inquired. 'You can answer all those questions. I've got the damnedest flu.' Mr. Moynihan then left."

Some background: James Carville was a campaign strategist for Bill Clinton and remains his most outspoken defender, even after the Lewinsky mess became public. Carville's zeal for criticizing Clinton's persecutors (specifically Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, Republican of Georgia) is so overwhelming that even his own party wants to disown him. Carville is also very, very bald...

From The New York Times, Thursday, October 8, 1998, an article titled "Clinton Ally Is Refusing To Be Quiet":

"Representative Richard A. Gephardt, the minority leader, complained to Erskine B. Bowles, the White House chief of staff, after Mr. Carville appeared on the NBC News Program 'Meet the Press' on Sept. 27 and declared, 'Cpl. Cue Ball Carville will be rolling into battle against Newt Gingrich.'"

Senate Minority Leader Democrat Tom Daschle had some interesting things to say this morning about President Bush's tax cut package. Apparently Mr. Bush has become so powerful that his very words cause recession. I think Senator Daschle needs to take a refresher course in macroeconomics.

From Reuters, Friday, March 16, 2001, an article titled "Report: Bush Wants Tax Cut This Year to Fuel Economy":

"The Democrats also contend that Bush's comments on the economy are hurting consumer confidence.

"'I believe the more they use the "r" word the more trouble we're going to be in. Obviously the result of the rhetoric is an economic slowdown,' said Daschle. The 'r' word is a reference to recession."
