Okefenokee Pictures!
Okefenokee Bear Revue Looks like the cheap animatronic bears from "ShowBiz Pizza" are back in full swing... Billy-Bob must have a good agent!
King Gator This was the first alligator we saw in the park, at the main park on the northern tip of the Okee. I would hate to run into him anywhere!
Clowning Around We couldn't fit our heads into the plywood cut-out, but we still managed to get a decent shot of us.
Brian the "Gator Tamer" Brian wasn't afraid of anything, and he shows off his alligator prowess here in this shot.
Danny Takes a Shot Not to be outdone by Brian, Danny tries his hand at the art of alligator taming. No Pain, No Gain, right?
Cap'n Crunch Danny, the self-appointed captain of our swamp cruiser, is seen going solo after unsnagging a fishing line. Only one collision with a stump to date. :)
Billy's Island Remains Remains of a british/english town in the swamp. Originally a cypress-logging town, it has all but disappeared from the swamp.
Billy's Island #2 More remains from Billy's Island.
Billy's Island #3 Last of the remains from Billy's Island.
Alligators Abound While tooling around in our outboard motorboat, alligators popped up and dissappeared everywhere.
Alligators didn't care how close they got to our boat when the motor was off... Hey, at the top of their food chain, who's gonna tell 'em they can't?!
Another Gator Gee, with over 25,000 alligators in the swamp, what did you expect to see?
Hanging Around This tree on Billy's Island provided some much-needed shade. Brian decided it made a good butt-rest.
90 Feet Up This aerial shot was taken from the swamp's 90-foot tower... 113 steps from bottom to top!
Chris is Appeased Chris finally does what he came to do... Get some serious fishing done. Among the catch were "Jack", HUGE brim, and a pike!
Brian's True Love Brian has finally found his one true love... A huge cypress tree over a hundred years old. Gee, I knew he liked them older, but not THAT old!
Leatherback Turtles These leatherback turtles were seen digging a nest under the shade of these canoes. Their shells were really just like leather!
