Although we are still uncertain about the exact origins of the Navagato Family, we are fairly certain that they trace back to Ruoti, Italy (pronounced Rootie). Our group came from Dominick Navagato, who had at least two sisters. There may have been some additional brothers and sisters but we currently do not have specific information about them. Dominick?s sisters (Lena and Lucy) married into the Carluccis and Pascales.

Several years ago we discovered that there were Navigatos (pronunced exactly like Navagato) in the Chicago area to whom we may be related, but we have never been able to find a common link. The Navigatos also originated from Ruoti, which strengthens the idea that we both came from the same family in Italy. It is possible that our name may have been changed from Navigato when Dominick?s father arrived in the United States.
