The Traffic Division is fondly known as "Motors". The Vallejo Police Department Traffic Division investigates Major and Fatal vehicle collisions. They provide Traffic Enforcement. They provide Traffic Safety Classes for Schools. The Motor Officer's train monthly to keep their riding skills above par. The Motor Officer's pride themselves on their riding abilities. The Motor Unit has provided Motorcycle Safety Classes for other Bay Area Police Motorcycle Units in the past. They ride Harley-Davidson Road King's. You may have seen them patrolling the streets or riding in a local Parade.

Vallejo Enforcement of Traffic Offenders


The VETO Program is designed to keep unlicensed drivers and suspended drivers off the streets. The number of Hit and Run vehicle collisions have decreased. The VETO Program has been active in the City of Vallejo since 1995. Vallejo Traffic Officer Mark Coffamn implemented the program. The VETO Program is very successful. Driving is a Privilege.

8th Annual West Coast Motorcycle Competition


The Vallejo Police Department Traffic Division and Vallejo Harley-Davidson are hosting the 8th Annual West Coast Harley Davidson Police Motorcycle Competition. The Competition is scheduled for September 20th, 2008 at 9:00 am. The location is 555 Santa Clara Street (in front of City Hall). You can contact Mark Coffman (VPD Traffic Division) or Michael Nichelini for details at (707) 648-4329.

You can compete in the individual competition or the two-man competition. This is an outstanding competition to demonstrate your riding skills. Do not miss this great event. You can reserve your spot now by contacting Mark Coffman at (707) 648-4329.
