Welcome to the Working Group
on Puerto Rico hompage. The Working group on Puerto Rico a.k.a.
WGPR is an organization dedicated to the liberation of Puerto
Rico as well as supporting the work of socialists in different
movements on the island.
The WGPR, as a member organization
of the Frente Socialista/Socialist Front of Puerto Rico, acomplishes
this work by educating the US public of the colonial reality
of Puerto Rico, organizing in the Puerto Rican community as well
as relating the issue of Puerto Rico's colonial status, its political
prisoners, its compromised environment by US multinational corporations,
militarized territories etc. in national struggles for progress
and social justice for working men and women.
This site exists to inform,
educate and enhance public awareness and garner support for Puerto
Rico's inalienable right to be sovereign and its people's struggle
to build a truly just and democratic society.
