growing effort in our nation's capital to repeal up to $350 billion of President Bush's historic 2001 tax cut.

Dear Ray,
As a member of Congress, I am writing to you to ask for your help.
There is an effort under way, led by Sen. Ted Kennedy, to "postpone" your tax cuts in favor of pet liberal
programs such as increasing the minimum wage, universal healthcare, gun control, and hate crimes legislation.
Senator Kennedy is not alone. Hillary Clinton was among the first to recommend a rollback of the tax cuts. Many
others have joined in -- part of a massive effort to blame the recession on President Bush and funnel more of our
tax dollars to Big Government programs.
We need your help!
Keepthetaxcuts.org -- a project of the National Republican
Congressional Committee (NRCC) -- has launched this petition drive to oppose the efforts of those who want to turn your
tax cuts into Big Government programs.

As Chairman of the NRCC, I can tell you that this is a vitally important issue. A recent economic report states that the tax
cuts will result in a 23% increase in the growth rate of the U.S. economy this year and "create 800,000 more jobs than
there otherwise would have been."
We cannot allow Ted Kennedy, Hillary Clinton, Dick Gephardt and others to take away our tax cuts!
And since Keepthetaxcuts.org is a project of the NRCC, I
can personally assure you that your petition will get into the hands of the key leaders on Capitol Hill -- as well as
President Bush!
But we must move quickly. We want to rally 100,000 citizens to say "keep the tax cuts" by Tax Day -- April 15.
