Foreword

Hi, the name's Mayur Gandhi, no relation to the famous Gandhi family! I'm an Electronics & Computer Engineer from the University of Birmingham, UK by profession, but have settled in the Construction Industry. Married to the lovely Amiri; Art Director and drawing a much higher but well-deserved salary, Gandhi. We're from Mumbai, India but are currently based in the small but beautiful town of Al Ain, United Arab Emirates.

I've gained a keen interest in a certain part of our history and wish to catalogue my amateur findings, to whomsoever may be interested, on this site. Never learned HTML at uni, so bare with this online venture.

The T. Stevens Big Bang

From collecting leather bookmarkers at famous tourist destinations' souvenir shops all over UK, to expanding my collection to world-wide leather bookmarks. Then onto a more diverse medium of bookmarks like Feather, Sworwski Crystal, Gold, Papyrus, Butterfly, Sandalwood etc.. I continued my hunt online, on my discovery of Ebay.com. There I tracked a particular type of silk bookmark, always being bought for substantially higher than normal silk works. It was only when I too won one such silk bookmark was I able to visualize its brilliance.

From the many bookmarks I had collected and won online, the T. Stevens Pure Silk Bookmark surely stood out as being the most exquisite of its kind. Barely affordable, I gradually plunged in deeper as time and work permitted, to discover the world of T. Stevens Coventry, England.
