I was introduced to airplanes in 1963 at an open house at Biggs AFB in my home town of El Paso, Texas. Getting up close and personal with a B-52 at a young age was quite an experience, one that I'll never forget. Despite the computerized jet age, I am a dedicated Warbird nut. The WWII aircraft are the ones I dreamed about flying and owning when I was a kid, jets just never had that same kind of appeal. It's not a real airplane if it doesn't have a propeller in front of it! I've been fortunate enough to be able to work on some of my favorites, such as the B-17, B-25 and C-47.
