Dr.Jagadeesh.

beloved wife (Maithri), my darling daughter (Shiva) and myself
!!!
About Me
I was born as
the second child of my parents Shri.M.K.Kumaran and Smt. Padmini
Kumaran in Vattoli, a village in Calicut District of Kerala State of
the Indian Republic, on 20th August 1959. I had my schooling in the
village itself. After passing my 10th class from Sanskrit Secondary
School,Vattoli, I continued my studies at St.Joseph's College,
Devagiri, Govt.College, Madappally,Badagara and St.Thomas College,
Trichur. I had a very brilliant academic record and secured
scholarships for my studies from 8th class onwards. I took my M.Sc
degree in Chemistry in 1981 and soon after joined the Collegiate
Education Dept. of Kerala as Lecturer in Chemistry. I had worked at
the Govt.College,Pattambi,Palghat, Farook College, Calicut, and
Govt.Polytechnic,Kalamassey, Cochin during the period
1981-86.
Then I pursued my doctoral studies on speciation of
Heavy metals in an aquatic environment at Jawaharlal Nehru
University, New Delhi and secured a Ph.D degree in 1991. Later I
joined back the Collegiate Education Department, Kerala at the Govt.
College, Kasargod. Presently I am working as a Senior Grade Lecturer
in the Department of Chemistry of the Govt.Engineering College,
Trichur.
I love my students while I enjoy teaching them. My
current research interests pertain to polluton problems related to
Automobile Exhausts and their control. Dioxins and Polynuclear
Aromatic Hydrocarbons are also the subjects of my present
study.
I believe that I will be truly happy only when I
succeed in making very innovative and useful contributions to
Science. I am putting all my efforts to attain this goal of my life.
I believe in God and I am hopeful that I will succeed in this
venture !!!
