Reports on Excavations
The excavations included here were conducted in response to a threat to the site. Every site is unique and should not be excavated without reason or without consulting local state agencies and/or archeologists. In most areas and especially Virginia field schools are conducted every year, to provide training in proper excavation and to give people vital experience.
