May your winter holiday bring you peace, joy, and love.

  The Hannons

I
enjoy each season, but winter is my favorite time of year. It teaches us to look up, to raise our eyes from the muck in front of our feet and look at the wonderful things around us, see our blessings, and look with clearer vision for the good things that lie ahead.

Here are a few pictures of our Christmas Day festivities. Please enjoy, and have wonderful Christmas and a safe, happy New Year.

Finally got it all done....
It's always nice to get a few shots of the preparations in the dark of the evening, before the hustle and bustle of waking.
My photographer-friend's advice about letting the mirror get dusty before taking these pictures was right on the money! I've never gotten this good of a shot of the mantle before.

The gang's all here....
They roust me at oh-dark-hundred and then yawn their way through the beginning. Gotta love it.
They really loved those socks. Their grandmother sent them from Alaska, and the logo of the company that made them is a polar bear in big wooly socks.
And this year's obnoxiously tacky boxers are Spongebob-themed! And she's armed and deadly with a camera.
The boys show off their new "bling". He spent the rest of the day trying to figure out how to wear a pocketwatch with pajamas.
