The First Brood: This site, dedicated to the often overlooked and under appreciated first five vampires in Anne Rice's Chronicles, has been a constant source of amazement and joy to me. For those of you who may have thought Maharet was really dabbling on the web, I'm sorry to come out of the proverbial vampire closet and disappoint you, but all things come to an end. I couldn't bear to be rid of it, however, and the thoughts of a 6000 year old vampiress may still be found here. From an artist's point of view, we will call this my sandstone and hieroglyph phase. The Vampire Chronicles Art Gallery: I think I brag too much about this one. That's alright, because I know it rocks. :-) So much work and people put their hearts into this site, it is a true tribute to everything Ricean. Call me obsessed, and I'll agree. Most of the artworks mentioned in the Chronicles are here, arranged by book. Quotes by Ms. Rice on the subject of art and the passages from her novels explaining the paintings also grace this site. See what Louis saw beneath the Theatre des Vampires; walk the Monastery San Marco with Marius and Armand.
