Links

This section is not so much a page dedicated to all the links I have on my computer, but rather a select few to whom I owe a favour or sites with which I am particularly impressed. So, to make it onto this site in the first place, it has to be pretty special (because I generally don't take the time to add links all that often).

Most of the links that appear here include a brief description of the page that follows.

Anna's Home Page
Anna is a friend I met on the internet. We have got to know each other quite well I think. She is a wonderful person and I wish I could get to know her better, but I guess things being as they are (ceteris paribus).... Anyway, Anna is originally from Canada and now lives in NZ, but why am I telling you her story, when her page does it so well for itself....take a look (and no more :-) )

Jerry's Home Page
Jerry is my oldest friend in NZ. I mean that I have known him for longer than anyone else in NZ. He has become like a brother to me and like another son in our household (since my brother is still in SA). I always seem to have at least one friend who becomes very close like that Mark Dewhurst in SA and Jerry in NZ. There is very little that I wouldn't do for Jerry, and at the moment am helping him with his own web site. The design and layout is entirely his, but the technical expertise are mine (that is to say I have shown him what to do and the rest is his "indaba" until he asks for help.

Eddie's Home Page
Eddie is a friend of mine from University. This is his little spot in the cybersun. From the looks of it, he likes fantasy and also touches on airbrush art. Eddie is a friendly chap who gets on well with everyone. I'm sure he would love you to visit his site....trust me, don't forget to sign the guestbook :-)

Bean's Home Page
This site is owned by Stephen Witherden. A very close friend of mine from Auckland University and regular contributor to the Academic Discussion. Stephen is a self confessed introvert who likes to while away the hours playing Starcraft or generally fiddling with computers. He is a very intelligent young man and dreams of being an Operations Researcher or anything so long as it involves computers.

The Phish Bowl
The owner of this site is Mark (whose surname I can never remember). Mark works at the same company as I do and I feel very privileged to know him. He is a very sensitive gentleman with a keen sense of humour and always ready with a word of encouragement. Mark is a philosopher and a poet and a person who has earned a great deal of my respect. Mark, I salute you.

Frankie's Bibliography of Ancient Egypt
Francesca (or Frankie as she is known) is a friend of mine, whom I met through Michael Brass, another very close friend and also regular contributor to the Academic Discussion. Frankie lives in the United States and, like Michael, enjoys a passion for ancient Egyptian history. She is currently studying via correspondence and regularly writes articles for various notable journals. You can also visit Frankie and Michael's web site, Ancient Egypt and World Prehistory.

University of Auckland
One of the leading tertiary institutions in Australasia, Auckland University boasts over 26,000 students. It offers a variety of courses of study and arguably one of the best business degrees in the southern hemisphere.

Governor General of New Zealand
New Zealand is a constitutional monarchy. The Sovereign is Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II; however, in her absence, the government in New Zealand is headed by the Governor General, currently Sir Michael Hardie Boys.

Cassandra Elizabeth Brook MacDonald
This page is created and maintained by Johnathan MacDonald, for his daughter. Johnathan has relatively recently started tinkering with web site development. Johnathan, like me, also works at Whitcoulls.
