Hi I'm Shido-san!

I pre-empted my "classic" page recently to bring you some hope! We call this the Gospel. Gospel only means 'good news', and it was originally "coined" by a very non-Christian Roman emperor, whose name just happens to have slipped my mind. However, as you've noticed we Christians started using this word from the beginning of what-is-called 'Christianity' because it was a popular word at the time and it did a very good job of capturing what it was that we are still trying to say. We changed the word slightly; capitalizing the first letter. This was to show that our good news was really the ultimate.. and we believe that it still is. In a nutshell, this is the message: 'Christ has risen!' In my branch of the faith, our pastor, or priest, says these words, and we echo in unison: 'He has risen indeed.' And, as you might expect, there is significance in these words too. However, I am told that 'Net Surfers' get easily bored, so I won't get into that here.

What IS important is that Jesus Christ is alive. Yes, I really believe that. He was put to death by Romans on behalf of the religious leaders of Jerusalem, who feared an insurrection. But, Jesus was God. What they got was a resurrection! He rose from death, defeating the armed guard that had been placed around his tomb, and remained on earth for forty days, teaching His followers - before being taken up into the sky. He is still alive. He reigns in Heaven, and gives the power and right to anyone who wishes to become children of God. This is only as hard as belief, but God gives us each enough faith for that. Just accept it.

A new relationship between you and God is waiting for you. God's blessings! It's Easter!
