#3) To help educate the gays of the Sabbatarian Churches of God about Homosexuality.

#4) To educate the Sabbatarian Churches of God about Homosexuality.

#5) To show a more conservative voice of the gay community.

#6) To teach love, not fear, hate and anger.

#7) To show that you can be gay and have a close relationship with God.

Religions, Not God, Condemn Homosexuals

The world we live in, its churches, synagogues, and many of its secular organizations, have condemned homosexuality. Has it always done so? What is the basis for such condemnation?

We are living in a world which has provided for us greater knowledge than we could ever have imagined before this present age. The telephone, television, and computer have given us information at the touch of a few buttons. Information that was once difficult, or impossible to obtain, is now available to us. It is now possible to compile data on any particular subject with great ease. So why is it that the subject of homosexuality is one of ignorance for most people? Preconceived ideas which have no foundation. Based on lies hypprocrisies and hate.

There are two verses in the Old Testament (Tanakh) and three in the New Testament (Brit Hadasha) that are used to supposedly condemn homosexuality. They are:

Leviticus 18:22, 20:13

Romans 1:26-27

1 Corinthians 6:9-10

1 Timothy 1:10

Why don't we take a closer look at what these verses say.

Leviticus 18:22 "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womenkind: it is an abomination." KJV

The word like is from the Hebrew shakab, not the same as lie in verses 20 and 23 of the same chapter. Mankind is from the Hebrew word zakar. This is usually referring to someone young. A boy, or even a child.

Abomination is translated from tow'ebah. All the other times throughout the book of Leviticus the word abomination was translated from the word sheqets, except in Leviticus 20:13, which is the same subject as Leviticus 18:22.

Tow'ebah is a Hebrew word used in the Old Testament (Tanakh) to refer to idolatry and pagan practices associated with idolatry. In this case, ritual homosexual prostitution as found in Canaanite fertility cult, often performed by a man with a boy of early teen age.

In Leviticus 20:13 "If man (iysh) also lie (shakab) with mankind (zakar) ,as he lieth with a woman (iysha), both of them have committed an abomination (tow'ebah/to'evah)..."KJV

The sin in these two scriptures are not homosexuality in itself, but in performing a foreign pagan religious practice which included sex between two men, or a man and a boy. And it was not a love sex act, but a type of forced sex from one to the other. Shakab is translated ravish. This would be like a S&M sexual act in a religious text. This practice was actually adopted by Israel at one point in their history. It was performed at the Temple, making it an abomination, form of idolatry. This does not refer to two consenting adult partners in the privacy of their own home.

Now, let us take a look at the New Testament (Brit Hadasha) and see what it says.

In Romans 1:26 the reference is not to lesbianism, but to women who are not producing children. There are few people today, including most religions, with possibly the exception of the Roman Catholic Church, who would condemn a woman for choosing not to have children. Women who do not want children are obviously better off without them, not to mention that we are not in want of a greater population in this world than what we already have.

Verse 27 is reference to married men having sex with other men. This is not two single adult men choosing to be companions, but heterosexual men having homosexual relations. It, according to the NT (BH), is a form of adultery. Breaking one of the Ten Commandments.

In 1Corinthians 6:9-10, the word effeminate is translated from the Greek malakoi, which literally means soft, loose, lacking self dcontrol. It can refer to a man or woman. It is not referring to what we would call an effeminate man today. When these translations were being made, women were considered beneath men, lowly. It was therefore, in their minds, terrible for a man to have any characteristics that were like women. To them, the religious translators, it made the men lowly like women.

The word from which they translated "abusers of themselves with mankind" is from the Greek word arsenokoitai, which like in Leviticus 18 and 20, refers to cult male prostitution. A religious sexual act. It is NOT referring to homosexuality in itself.

1Timothy 1:10 we once again have the same thing, cult male prostitution, translated from the Greek word arsenokoitai.

It should be noted here that there are five words in Greek which refer to same-sex sexual activities. The are paiderastes, pallakos, kinaidos, arrenomanes, and paidophthoros. None of these are used in the New Testament.

Jesus (Y'Shua) never once mentioned homosexuality, nor did he make any reference to it. Apparently not important enough to talk about. A non-issue.

We can see that when we look to the Bible, the Old Testament (Tanakh) and the New Testament (Brit Hadasha), that there is no justification for condemning homosexuality between to adult men, or two adult women. The only condemnation of it is when it is connected with a religius act and then heterosexuality is also condemned.

People can no longer use the Bible as a source to condemn gays, as the Bible does not! This therefore only leaves man's own likes and dislikes on the matter. Their own pre-conceived hatreds. Excuses to justify their evil hatreds to allow them to persecute men and women who are only being what they are, what they were born to be. Science is beginning to show that sexual orientation is biological, such as studies by Dr. Simon LeVay and others. But in spite of science, ask a gay if they chose their sexual orientation. Ask them if they had a choice. They will tell you that they made no choice. They ae being what they are. What they were born to be. What they have always been.

The Bible contains 6 admonishments to homosexuals, and 362 to heterosexuals. This doesn't mean God doesn't love heterosexuals, it's just that they need more supervision. ~ Lynn Lavner, a lesbian comic

HOMOSEXUAL PHARAOH INTRODUCES WORSHIP OF GOD

The first Egyptian and major ruler to introduce the worship of the one God to his people was a homosexual man, Akhenaten, Pharaoh of Egypt's 18th Dynasty. This was the 14th century B.C.E., before the time of Moses.

Akhenaten ascended the throne of Egypt in 1379 B.C.E. The rulers were considered divine and their religion was to worship many gods. Their most important gad was Amu-Ra. The priests of Amun-Ra were wealthy and very powerful.

Akhenaten was given a wife, as the duty of every king is to produce an heir. His wife was Nefertiti, who was and still is considered one of the most beautiful women of all time.

In 1370 B.C.E. Akhenaten moved the capital of Egypt from Thebes to a new city, which he had built. It was named for him, which was the common practice of Egyptian rulers. The religious center for the false gods was in Thebes, one of his reasons for leaving it. He introduced the belief that there is only one God and that there is nothing on this earth to represent Him, therefore they made no images of Him.

He wrote hymns to God, one of which seems to have inspired the 104th Psalm.

Akhenaten never lived with his wife. He chose as his own spouse, Smenkhkare. He gave h im the title "Beloved of Akhenaten." He looked much like Tutankhamen, better known as King Tut.

But, unbeknown to the two lovers, the religius leaders of Thebes were out to destroy them and return the worship of the false gods to the people of Egypt, in order to restore their wealth and power over the people.

They murdered Akhenaten and Smenkhkare and placed the teen, King Tut, in his place as pharaoh. Because he was so young, they were able to control him and restore their worship of the gods and removed the worship of the One God.
