I wrote my thesis about higher education PR in order to complete my degree in communications and media studies at the University of Leipzig. I compared the communications activities of Ohio University and University of Leipzig. I started with gaining information while still being in Athens. I conducted several interviews with the directors of alumni relations, university relations and students athletes department and the university’s president to name a few. I returned to Germany and tried hard to get information from the people in charge which was a challenge. The conversation with the university’s Rector marked the positive highlight. I spent July and August 1998 bringing everything to paper.
