Member of the migration team for Shell Services
International. Main duties involve:
· Installing and
replacing NT and 98 machines for new ones
with a Win2000 OS:
· Restoring information
from a backup.
· Adding users to
Active Directory and Exchange Server setting
up personal folders and address book in Outlook.
· Mapping network
hard drivers and printers.
· Instructing the
user on the new Smart Card security login
procedure.
Prior to installation the computer must be imaged
(ghost) with a customized win2000 for Shell and added
to Active Directory's OU.
The implementation of a new Vlan
has brought me the opportunity to learn different network
infrastructures, and configure them using a console telneting
to the switch.

As a System Support Specialist in
WorldbyNet I combined my PC/network technical
skills with my web development knowledge.
Duties included:
· The installation
of new workstations with Win2000 using a RIS server
and running a desktop support of 50
workstations and 5 servers.
· Network expansion
involved the and IP address planning and
subnetting, installation of
racks with switches, hubs, repeaters and firewalls.
DHCP, DNS and DNS
zones configuration and routing along with the testing and
configuration of Microsoft's dynamic disks and RAID5 hardware.
In the web part of my responsibilities I created
web pages (html and design)with an in-house developing
platform called Mc3 which helped us elaborate and upload content,
news and graphics to the 12 countries' websites which worldbynet.com
was composed of.
