There's not much I can say about Star Trek other than it really rocks! Gene Roddenberry had a vision about our future, that everything would eventually work out for the human race: no poverty, disease, conflict. There would be space travel with contact with other civilizations, exploration vessels instead of those used for war. A very optimistic outlook for our kind if you ask me. I guess it does offer up some hope that maybe we will reach that sort of existence.

As for the show itself, I love it! I am a self admitted Trekkie. I do have a favorite among the four and that would be Voyager. Then Next Generation, Deep Space 9, and finally in a class of its own, Classic Trek. The rest of the Treks wouldn't be here without it.
