Piers Anthony
My favorite author by far, Piers Anthony has a knack for creating fantasy, science fiction, history and humor, sometimes all in the same book. I have read a lot of his fantasy books and a little of the others. I personally enjoyed all of them and recommend them to anyone who likes fantasy and even those who don't particularly read fantasy. Here are a few of the many books that he's written.
XanthKatherine Kerr
Another of my favorites, I've only had a chance to read a few of her books, from the Land of Deverry series. This series is good to read and based on Celtic legends and folklore.
David Eddings
Another author that I scour the bookshelves for when I get a chance. He is a definite must read.Marion Zimmer Bradley
This book is my absolute favorite fantasy novel. I liked it so much that I use the main character's name, Morgaine Le Fay, for internet use.
Robert Stasteff
Stasteff is another of those authors that combines fantasy and humor. I found this series enjoyable and I plan on reading his other books.
Janny Wurts
This is the newest series that I read and I really liked it.
